I've official started at the Smithsonian (NMNH) as curator of mammals. I am currently assessing my research projects and will be starting to look for students with interests in evolutionary systematics and biogeography, particularly for Southeast Asian small mammals. Please send an email if you are interested in joining my research program. Below is a beautiful picture on my walk to the train last night. It is so good to be back!

Hello Missy,
I just wanted to tell you congrats on all your accomplishments. I don't spend much time on FB but I do try to keep track of my former students. You have a lovely family snd the Smithsonian is lucky to get you back. I retired in 2015 and love it! I keep busy with a little Etsy shop ForgetMeNotTwo. You may already know this but WIU got a big $375,000 grant to study your bobcats... you did the ground-breaking work on the bobcats. I remember when you discovered the tracks around Spring Lake and you made a plaster cast of that huge pawprint. That was the genesis of the research. I would love to read some of your work. Y
Keep up the good work. I'm very proud of you. You're the Best!
Best Wishes, Kathleen❤
